This handmade shoe features a medium vamp and is specifically designed for a dancer with lower-profile feet. Built on a last that meticulously hugs the arch, the Spotlight offers a lightweight feel while providing the necessary support and lift, deterring "sitting" in the shoe. It is a standout choice for dancers with shallow feet who want a shoe that moves as part of their body rather than feeling like a bulky attachment.
While many shoes focus solely on "hardness," the Spotlight focuses on lifting the dancer. By discouraging the habit of sinking or sitting in the box, it encourages better muscle engagement and a stronger center of balance. The Spotlight is ideal for dancers with low to medium compressibility. Suffolk's Corps de Ballet Collection
The Corps de Ballet Collection is handcrafted in England, made using the traditional technique where crafted inside out and turned to reveal the right side of the pointe shoe after the shoemaker has hand-pasted the toe box into the shoe. These lightweight shoes are known and loved by dancers who want the shoes to mold quickly to their feet. Many artistic directors favor the aesthetic of Suffolk® pointe shoes made in this traditional British style of shoemaking. They are the only classic pointe shoes that feature Suffolk’s patented design, which extends the life of the shoe.
