Nikolay 0539SN Katya Pointe Shoe - Super Soft Shank
Nikolay's Katya Pointe shoe is made on Nikolay's innovative 2007 last. The 2007 last was developed to meet the anatomical needs of medium-width feet, medium arches, and medium or long toes. This design accommodates approximately 90% of ballerinas, thanks to its tapered and dynamic form.
The Katya's lower cut insole provides the perfect shape under the arch and the shortened outsole eliminates the heel shelf in disappearing heels. Featuring a U-shaped medium vamp and a max-flat, stable medium platform, the Katya provides confidence with every balance. Hand-balanced and constructed with a special lightweight elastic paste that adapts to the shape of your foot after the first wear and remains flexible throughout the lifespan of the shoe. The Katya incorporates Nikolay's Grip Glide technology, with a suede tip featuring a smooth under-cap area with no pleats to provide a sharper en-pointe roll-through.
A combination of classic and innovative technologies the Katya's shank offers proper support and easy roll-up. The cut shank (-5 mm) and sole (-10 mm) are shorter compared to other Nikolay™ styles, which creates extra flexibility in the heel, creating a perfect fit that follows the shapes of the foot.
Ideal for rehearsals, contemporary dance, and demi-pointe elements due to the easy roll-up and cut sole. Nikolay recommends the Katya for students of ballet academies and schools.
